Jayne Bogle (she/her)

Youth Engagement & Participation Worker | Donegal

My name is Jayne Bogle, and I am part of EPIC (Empowering People In Care)’s Youth Engagement and Participation team. I have worked as a Youth Engagement and Participation Worker in Donegal since November 2025.

My role is centred on empowering care-experienced children and young people to have their voices heard through meaningful participation and engagement. I support young people to actively shape the services and policies that affect their lives, while facilitating their involvement in a wide range of activities, programmes, and youth work groups. These include creative projects and peer-led initiatives, and other opportunities that promote personal development, connection, community, and leadership.

Before joining EPIC, I worked as a Project Worker with Barnardo’s for over 10 years, supporting children, young people, and parents. Prior to this, I was an Area Youth Worker and Inclusion Officer with the Education Authority, delivering community-based youth programmes and supporting young people at risk of social exclusion. I also worked as a Young Person’s Worker with Women’s Aid, supporting young people who had experienced domestic abuse and crisis situations. Earlier in my career, I worked for almost 10 years as a Co-ordinator with Extern, managing targeted support programmes for high-risk young people across community and residential settings, and I also co-owned and managed a retail business for a number of years.

I hold an undergraduate degree from Queen’s University Belfast and have completed extensive professional training, including Risk Assessment, Safeguarding and Child Protection (Level 2), Signs of Safety, Motivational Interviewing (Level 2), Solihull Approach, Trauma Training with WAVE, TIGER (CSE and trauma), Circle of Security, Incredible Years programmes, Triple P Parenting Teens, Attachment training (Clark Baim), and a range of therapeutic and parenting interventions.
