Hazel Comerford (she/her)

Advocacy Officer – SEA | Dublin

My name is Hazel Comerford, and I am part of the Advocacy Team at EPIC Empowering People In Care. I have worked as an Advocacy Officer – SEA since March 2026, supporting care-experienced young people living in Special Emergency Arrangements.

I am passionate about supporting young people in having their voices heard meaningfully and feeling confident in speaking up about what matters to them. During my time supporting young people, I’ve learned that building trust, listening well and sharing a laugh can go a long way.

Before joining the EPIC team, I worked supporting young people in children’s residential care as a social care worker and senior manager for 14 years.

My qualifications include a BA in Applied Social Studies in Social Care and an M.A. in Leadership in Therapeutic Child & Social Care.
