National Advocacy Service Team

My name is David McCarthy, and I joined EPIC Empowering People in Care as an Advocacy Administrator in May 2026. 

My role involves supporting the National Advocacy Service team and communicating with young people to understand and identify their needs and concerns. I provide administrative and operational support to help ensure advocacy services are delivered efficiently and effectively, enabling advocates to focus on supporting young people and ensuring their voices are heard.

Before joining EPIC, I worked across a number of different industries, gaining extensive experience in office management and administration. These roles have equipped me with a diverse range of transferable skills.

I have completed a first-class honours degree in International Business and Global Markets 

I hold a First Class Honours Degree in International Business and Global Markets, which has given me a strong foundation in business operations, strategic thinking, and organisational development. Combined with my professional experience, this has enabled me to develop the administrative, analytical, and interpersonal skills that support my work within EPIC.
