EPIC Empowering People In Care (EPIC) will gather personal information that is essential to the delivery of our service. EPIC will treat all personal information and data you provide as part of this referral process as confidential and will store the information securely. All personal information will be held in a secured file and transferred directly to our database where a computer record is created. This record will be used and kept by EPIC for the purpose of advocating and/or supporting the child or young person who is the subject of the form. EPIC will not share this information, or any other information gathered in respect of this child or young person, with any person or organisation, unless we have the child’s or young person’s or guardian’s permission to do so.
The only exceptions to our data protection policy will be in the case of a mandatory reporting matter under the Children First Act 2015 or other mandatory legal requirement (e.g. TUSLA, An Garda Síochána, Courts Service). If such a case arises the mandatory reports will be to the relevant authorities only.
Access to our database is restricted to authorised personnel. Our staff are aware of their professional and legal duty to respect and protect the confidentiality of your information.

Website user accounts
We do not allow registration of accounts on the EPIC website to any members of the public or 3rd party organisations at this time, accounts are limited to EPIC staff, therefore no registration or login data is collected or stored. Comments are also disabled on this site so no user data is set or collected in relation to comments.
Donations
In order to make a donation to EPIC you will be asked for information including your name, address, email address and country of residence. In addition, when you make a donation on the website, we may also require your credit card number, although this will be processed securely by PayPal.
The information received from you will only be disclosed to such third parties as may be necessary, in order to process your donation. By registering with us and by your use of the site and acceptance of the terms and conditions of use you hereby authorise us to convey this information to suitable third parties with philathropic, charitable and socially progressive aims.
We will take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us. Agents or contractors of EPIC who have access to information you give us in the course of providing services to us are required to keep that information confidential and are not permitted to use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services which they are performing for us.
We endeavour to ensure the highest level of security as regards your credit card details, and we do not store your card information. Card donations are processed securely by PayPal.com and we do not see or store your card details.
