Education Project
Take Care: The school experiences of children and young people who have been in care
EPIC’s Education Project began in 2023 following consultation with young people. The project aims to raise awareness of the school experiences of care-experienced children and young people, build teachers knowledge and capacity with a new toolkit, and to increase collaboration amongst the adults in a child or young persons’ life.

Research Project
Experiences of State Care Amongst Unaccompanied Minors
This research is underway and seeks to understand the experiences of unaccompanied minors in care in Ireland. It also seeks to ascertain how their rights are being upheld as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Refugee Convention and Optional Protocol. We will launch this new study in July 2025.
